holoride integrates custodial service provider Copper into its ecosystem
Announcing the collaboration with award-winning digital asset custody provider Copper
German in-car entertainment tech startup holoride today announced a custody partnership with Copper.co, a pioneering digital assets custody and settlement provider. Copper provides custody, trading, and portfolio management solutions to institutional investors across over 45 exchanges and 500 crypto-assets.
After holoride’s successful completion of the Q2 roadmap, including the listing of its token RIDE on two further exchanges, the partnership with Copper is the next step in making the use of RIDE even more appealing for institutional partners. RIDE is holoride’s utility token, which will supercharge its in-car experience ecosystem and will make for a more immediate and efficient value creation-distribution loop. What is more, RIDE is also known as the world’s first mobility experience token and thus, tailored for brand-agnostic, customizable transportation use cases.
Through the collaboration, Copper and holoride will create the opportunity for institutional players, such as VC funds, car manufacturers, content creators or media companies to both safeguard and manage their RIDE assets in a customer-friendly, secure, and compliant way- without compromising on control.
commented Marcos Benitez, Business Development Director at Copper.
Copper’s expertise in multi-party computation (MPC) technology, to boost key management and take transaction security to the next level, has won them multiple awards.
Multi-party computation (MPC) is a cryptographic tool which enables two or more independent parties to collectively compute a function such as signing transactions, in order to provide maximum security. Instead of creating a master private key and storing it on a single device with a high risk of being hacked, MPC distributes multiple shards of a key among devices of participating parties.
Nils Wollny, CEO and co-founder of holoride, added. “We are excited about our partnership with Copper and their state-of-the-art approach as a digital asset custodian and being the #1 platform for institutional asset management. We feel encouraged in our endeavor to change in-car experiences with such a strong partner and expert in the digital assets space.”
Copper’s next generation crypto infrastructure allows for institutions to store digital assets with the highest security and compliance standards. The partnership between holoride and Copper thus marks an important milestone in driving mass-adoption of RIDE through leading automotive and media brands.
Founded in 2018, Copper provides a gateway into the crypto asset space for institutional investors by offering custody, prime brokerage, and settlements across 500 digital assets and more than 45 exchanges. It is committed to providing flexible solutions for institutional investors that can adapt to the changing cryptoasset space, while enabling far greater transparency and control for asset managers.
Copper’s fully integrated products are unique in the cryptoasset space. Underpinned by multi-award-winning custody, Copper has built the comprehensive and secure suite of tools and services required to safely acquire, trade, and store cryptocurrencies.
At the core of Copper’s infrastructure is ClearLoop, a framework that connects the universe of exchanges in one secure trading loop — with real-time settlement across the Networks. Integrated with market leading spot and derivative crypto exchanges, ClearLoop has already transformed the way in which institutional investors can engage in the cryptoasset space since launching in May 2020.
